Support that feels like

someone gets it.

Nu-Ela Incorporated is a disability and mental health support service built on lived experience. Warm, culturally respectful, and shaped entirely around you — your goals, your routine, your choices.

about us

Growth, learning and
acceptance — in that order

Nu-Ela Incorporated was built on a simple belief: the experiences that shaped you can become your greatest strength. We walk alongside people living with disability and mental ill-health — and the families and carers around them — offering practical, everyday support delivered with warmth and respect.

Person-centred means we start with you: what you want your week to look like, what independence means to you, and what feels comfortable in your own home.

Valued — your choices, culture and identity shape every decision.

Respected — dignity, privacy and consent in every interaction.

In control — support that fits your life, not our timetable.

Nothing about you,
without you.

why us

We've lived it. That changes how we support you.

Nu-Ela was created by people who understand what it’s like to need support — and how much difference the right support worker makes.

Registered NDIS provider

Supporting self-managed and plan-managed participants.

Lived experience

We've been on the other side of the plan. You won't have to explain the hard parts twice.

Truly person-centred

Your goals set the agenda. Support is reviewed with you, not decided for you.

Culturally respectful

Your culture, language and community are part of your support — not an afterthought.

Focused on growth

Every shift builds a little more confidence, capability and independence.

Acceptance, no judgement

Good days and hard days. You're met the same way in both.

Local & consistent

Questions people ask us first

Can’t see your question? Call 0473 557 377 — a real person answers.

Give us a call on 0473 557 377 or send the form on this page. We’ll arrange a free, no-obligation chat — in your home, over the phone or somewhere you feel comfortable — to talk through what you need. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll match you with a support worker and agree on days, times and goals before anything begins.

Always. Person-centred support means your goals, routines, culture and preferences shape the plan — not the other way around. We write it with you, review it with you, and change it whenever your circumstances or priorities change.

Yes. We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants, and we’re happy to talk with your plan manager, support coordinator or family about how your funded supports can be used. Not sure what your plan covers? Bring it along and we’ll help you make sense of it.

We’re based on Thurralilly Street in Queanbeyan East and support people across Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra and the wider Canberra region. If you’re just outside that area, call us anyway — we’ll let you know honestly whether we can help.

Absolutely, if that’s what you want. Many people like a family member or carer in the first conversation and in plan reviews. It’s your call who’s in the room and how much they’re involved.
